Historical/Architectural Services

Qualifications and Experience

Each member of ASC Group's historical/architectural division exceeds the Secretary of the Interior's professional qualification standards (48 FR Part 44716) for architectural history or history. Our work conforms to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation (48 FR Parts 44716 et seq.), the full set of National Register Bulletins, and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's regulations for the Protection of Historic Properties (36 CFR Part 800). The historical/architectural staff regularly attends conferences and training workshops on Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 4(f) of the Department of Transportation Act, and on evaluation and documentation standards of the National Register of Historic Places to continue to develop and enhance our knowledge and expertise in these areas.

Due to our office locations, ASC Group historical/architectural staff has worked extensively throughout the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic. We have completed projects for a diverse range of clients, including Federal and state agencies, city planning and development departments, engineering and architectural firms, county engineers, utility companies, Certified Local Governments, and private stakeholders. Staff members of the historical/architectural division are prequalified to conduct historical/architectural work for many Departments of Transportation in the Midwest.
